Zubin Kenkare

I’m a woodworker, artist, and medical student at Columbia University’s Vagelos College of Physicians and Surgeons. I graduated from Bowdoin College in 2023 with a degree in Chemistry and departmental honors. While at Bowdoin, I was captain of the rowing team, a head residential advisor, and exhibited work in drawing, sculpture, photography, and printmaking.
Outside of medicine, woodworking is a deep passion. I’ve built canoes, dining sets, dressers, beds, jewelry boxes, and turned dozens of bowls and pens. I’m especially drawn to sharing the craft, whether by teaching or simply watching someone light up as they hold something they made themselves.
